Only Kate Quinn could make me bawl my eyes out reading a mere 50-page story。 I wish this was an entire novel because I would adore it with my whole entire being because this short little story not only captivated my attention and got me hooked and invested immediately but also ripped my heart out。 I loved the concept of radio time distortion and two people connecting to save each other - I felt the instant connection between Matt and Lily。 Quinn is really out here delivering a romancing spanning Only Kate Quinn could make me bawl my eyes out reading a mere 50-page story。 I wish this was an entire novel because I would adore it with my whole entire being because this short little story not only captivated my attention and got me hooked and invested immediately but also ripped my heart out。 I loved the concept of radio time distortion and two people connecting to save each other - I felt the instant connection between Matt and Lily。 Quinn is really out here delivering a romancing spanning time that never actually happened but felt so completely real and just left me weeping。 "They'd already been on borrowed time， Lily thought。 Not even borrowed time-slipped time。 Someone had slipped a little of his time into her pocket， and she didn't know how much more they had left。"I swear Kate Quinn never disappoints and I am so glad she wrote this！ 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I just finished reading The Rose Code a couple of days ago and this was such a treat to have as a follow up。 But you definitely don’t have to have read it first。 This can easily be a standalone short story。 I loved the modern day， sci-fi timeline added in。 I could have read an entire novel about Lily and Matt’s story。 And the ending …。 Kate Quinn is a genius！

I received this through Amazon First Reads and even though it is a short story， the premise seemed interesting。 I thought I read somewhere that this is a book you can easily read in a few hours， but when it says it is a short story， it really is just that as it comes in at just over 50 pages， so it will take around half an hour to get through it （I could not find out how many pages it has through Goodreads or Amazon itself）。However， this is not to say that it does not have a lot of story， this b I received this through Amazon First Reads and even though it is a short story， the premise seemed interesting。 I thought I read somewhere that this is a book you can easily read in a few hours， but when it says it is a short story， it really is just that as it comes in at just over 50 pages， so it will take around half an hour to get through it （I could not find out how many pages it has through Goodreads or Amazon itself）。However， this is not to say that it does not have a lot of story， this book definitely packs a punch with the plot especially with it including a time travelling element。 This is something that I am sure is not easy to explain in so few pages， but the author manages without too much detail or major potholes。 It is an okay story， it is written well， but I was not hugely captivated by it。 Would I have preferred if it was a full length novel？ Not really。 It does what it intends to do and you do not feel as if you are yearning for more information once finished。 It's not a bad story， but it's not a great story。 。。。more
